Clintwood had quite a few turnovers also....I know the game stayed between the 30 yard lines/mid field for majority of the 3rd quarter..this come from fumbles/int's from both sides..
The turnovers absolutely killed Powell Valley tonight .. it certainly didn't help when they threw several interceptions in/very close to the 'red zone,' one which of course happened near the end of the game.
Why didn't they just continue to run the ball? They seemed to do much better running than passing tonight .. too many bad throws and bad decisions overall. The fumbles were also a problem on both sides in my opinion.
It was a thrilling game, but I wasn't impressed at all with either team. Powell Valley made too many mistakes and Clintwood basically rode on those mistakes and turned it into a shocking win for them - but besides the mistakes that they took advantage of, they really didn't do much of anything all night long.

this was a big win for us tonite ..... we really needed it after the last 2 weeks ... hopefully will be a good confidence booster for the rest of the yr.
